Michael Palmer is the author of fifteen books of poetry. He recently edited and helped to translate Nothing the Sun Could Not Explain: Twenty Contemporary Brazilian Poets (with Nelson Ascher and Regis Bonvicino), which was published by Sun & Moon Press in 1997. The Lion Bridge (Selected Poems 1972-1995) was published by New Directions in the spring of 1998, & The Promises of Glass was published in 2000.  He is in the process of preparing a book of selected essays and talks that will be published by Northwestern University Press.
