Northern California poet David Bromige was a professor of literature at Sonoma State University for 21 years. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Canada Council. In 1988 his selected poems, Desire (Black Sparrow Press) won the Western States Book Award. He is also the author of The Harbormaster of Hong Kong (Sun & Moon) and Tiny Courts (Brick Books, Canada). A new book of poems, T as in Tether, is forthcoming from Chax Press.
